2021 Emergency Grants: Dance

Chris Emile (Tarzana, CA), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in February to screen hbny at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, CA, on May 1.

Janessa Clark (Brooklyn, NY), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in February to present COMMUNION at HERE Arts Center, in New York, NY, with weekly screenings February 5-July 1.

Elena Demyanenko (Brooklyn, NY), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in February to present welter at Roulette, in Brooklyn, with live-streamed performances March 10-12.

Karen Langevin (San Juan, PR), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in March to present MAMIFERA at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with performances on February 20 and May 22-23.

Daria Fain (Brooklyn, NY), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in February to present patch the sky with 5 colored stones at the Chocolate Factory Theater, in Long Island, NY, with live-streamed screenings March 4-6.

Emily Navarra (Morrison, IL), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in March to present FLUX / cut the FAT as a part of a live-streamed performance organized by Soul Music and Performing Arts Academy in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from April 12-18.

Wilfried Souly (Los Angeles, CA), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in January to present Saana/The Foreigner in the In-Out Dance Festival organized by TAMADIA in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, with performances January 29-February 12.

Anh Vo (Brooklyn, NY), a dancer and choreographer, received a grant in January to present BABYLIFT at Target Margin Theater in Brooklyn, NY, with performances February 19-21.
